OUTREACH PANTRY VOLUNTEER
OUTREACH PANTRY VOLUNTEER

St. Louis, MO

Each year, VCP distributes thousands of items to Veterans and their families. In 2022, our Kansas City location gave out over 6,600 items. Because of our location, we anticipate our STL site will eventually exceed those numbers. To keep up with demand, we need volunteers every week to help us assemble snack packs, hygiene kits, food boxes, and to keep our pantry stocked, inventoried, and organized. During an Outreach Pantry Shift, volunteers may expect the following: sort and pack hygiene kits, food boxes, and snack packs; take inventory of newly donated items; move and lift boxes onto shelving; input data into a Monday.com board; move tall shelving racks on wheels; work indoors while seated. VCP will supply water and other beverages. If volunteers are working all day or over the lunch period, they are encouraged to bring their own lunch as it will not be provided. PARKING: turn west onto Aldine Street from Grand Blvd. Parking is located on the gravel lot to the right of VCP Village. Please secure your vehicle and remove all items. The precautionary measures will go a long way in preventing theft. Entrance: Knock on the double black doors on the northwest corner of the building. If no answer, ring the doorbell located next to the garage door.
