As a Front Desk & Office Support Volunteer, you’ll play an important role in the behind-the-scenes work that keeps our mission running smoothly. Key Responsibilities: Answer and direct phone calls in a professional manner Greet and assist clients, volunteers, and visitors Receive and document mail, packages, and deliveries Assist with scheduling and confirming appointments Maintain records and manage office supplies Perform basic administrative tasks Prepare materials for events, meetings, and outreach Coordinate volunteer check-ins and manage required paperwork Keep front desk and shared spaces tidy and organized Benefits: Opportunity to support veterans and gain administrative experience Be a valued part of a mission-driven team

Come and help Veterans Community Project accept donations at our location in Kansas City. 2 shifts available Mondays through Fridays at 8831 Troost Ave. Volunteer will assist, record and inventory donations as they arrive. Volunteer may be expected to lift 10-15 pounds.

We’re looking for volunteers to help with a variety of projects around the village! Current needs include cleaning newly completed tiny homes, furnishing homes to prepare them for Veterans to move in, sorting donated items, assembling outreach bags, and more. With the end of the year approaching, now is a great time to use those volunteer hours. Tasks will be assigned upon arrival. Most work will be indoors, but you may go in and out throughout the day, so please dress accordingly. Volunteer Dates are: Thursday 12/18 1pm-4pm Tuesday 12/30 1pm-4pm Stay tuned for more dates into 2026!

Volunteer will assist Veterans Community Project Residential staff with Veteran engagement and support. Volunteer will greet Veterans and visitors as the come to the Village Center and will provide hospitality and Fellowship Hall support, administrative and facility support. General Expectations: Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of ALL visitors and Veterans. Report any concerns, needs or issues to the appropriate staff member promptly. Demonstrate professionalism, compassion and respect in all interactions.
