If you are an individual that wants to help with building the tiny homes, please sign up here! (If you are wanting to do a company/group build day, please contact Amanda Weinstein at aweinstein@VCP.org) Prior construction experience is NOT necessary. Bringing your own tool belt or tools is optional (VCP will have tools on-site and cannot reimburse you for damaged or broken tools you bring to the site.) Construction tasks will vary each day. Check in starts at 8:00 AM and build days get started at 8:30 AM and go for ~7 hours, with a lunch break (please bring your lunch, as we have seating at the construction site). Please arrive promptly by 8:30 AM for the safety presentation.

We have 5 homes that are nearing completion this month! Help us assemble all of the furniture (bed frames, tables, chairs, storage cabinets, etc.). Easy "Ikea style" assembly- only a screw driver needed. Assembly will be indoors and out of the elements.

We need extra hands ALL over the village!! We are looking for volunteers to help with merchandise inventory, taking down Christmas decor, cleaning and staging tiny homes, and SO MUCH MORE on Tuesday, January 14th from 1pm-4pm! We are at a crucial point where we are getting ready to move more Veterans in, and we want to make sure they walk into a space that brings them comfort and joy. Specific duties will be assigned on the day of. Volunteers will be working inside the village center and inside the tiny homes, so no need to worry about the cold South Dakota weather! Volunteers can check in inside the village center beginning at 12:45pm, and we will start working once everyone arrives.
