VCP has been invited to the BOLDERBoulder 10K! The event will be on Monday, May 26th (Memorial Day) in downtown Boulder. Tabling will be done from 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM. VCP will be tabling and providing tiny home tours during the event to educate and raise awareness about VCP's mission to aid homeless Veterans and to recruit new volunteers and supporters! There are shadowing shifts (for new volunteers) and VCP ambassador shifts (for experienced event volunteers). Parking and location information will be emailed to volunteers 72 hours before the event. Volunteer shifts for May 26th are: 6:30 AM - 9:00 am AM - helping with set-up of tiny home and tent 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM 11:30 am - 2:00 PM - includes tear down of tiny home and tent

If you are an individual that wants to help with building the tiny homes, please sign up here! (If you are wanting to do a company/group build day, please contact Melissa Gruber at mgruber@vcp.org Prior construction experience is NOT necessary. Bringing your own tool belt or tools is optional (VCP will have tools on-site and cannot reimburse you for damaged or broken tools you bring to the site.) Construction tasks will vary each day. Check in starts at 8:00 AM and build days get started at 8:30 AM and go for ~7 hours, with a lunch break (please bring your lunch, as we have seating at the construction site). Please arrive promptly by 8:30 AM for the safety presentation.

Join Veterans Community Project for Clean & Green: A Day of Service, a special Earth Day event where volunteers come together to care for the community and honor our veterans. Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or new to service, your time and effort will help create a clean, welcoming, and dignified space for the veterans who call VCP Village home. Date: Tuesday, April 22, 2025 Volunteer Arrival/Check-In: 8:30 AM Event Time: 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM Location: VCP Village – 1515 N Grand Blvd What Volunteers Will Do: Participate in outdoor cleanup and beautification efforts Pick up trash, assist with landscaping, and help refresh common areas 🧤 What’s Provided: All supplies and materials needed for the cleanup Breakfast and lunch for all volunteers Water stations and rest breaks A chance to meet others and make a visible impact! 👕 What to Bring/Wear: Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes Closed-toe shoes (required) Sunscreen and a reusable water bottle (recommended) 📌 Important Notes: Please arrive by 8:30 AM to check in and get your group assignment. **This volunteer event has a position available that requires VCP Ambassador Training completion. Running of the Beds is a community festival hosted by Flourish, Kansas City’s only furniture bank, that will raise support to provide free beds for families. In this thrilling, one-of-a-kind race, teams will compete neck-to-neck on home-made beds on wheels. Proceeds from the event will be essential to provide an entire home of furnishings for 1,500 families overcoming housing insecurity. Volunteer will be representing Veterans Community Project at this tabling event. Volunteers will be expected to set up a large canopy with tables and an event tub that must be picked up and returned to Veterans Community Project at 8825 Troost.

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to represent VCP at community events.
